Description

Kaldewey Press is a small press located in hamlet of Poestenkill, New York, outside of Albany. Owned by an eccentric German immigrant, Gunnar A. Kaldewey, Kaldewey Press (and affiliated Edition Kaldewey) has been producing artist books since 1985. Focused on small runs, exotic material and form, and artistic licenses to the extreme. Kaldewey takes classic works of literature, turns them on their head and working with famous book artists gives them a second lease of life. Sold primarily through subscription, 75 Artist Books is actually the 76th title by Kaldewey catalogue, including the scarcely available deluxe editions of works from the likes of Emily Dickinson, Charles Baudelaire and William Blake.
