About 1 hours drive north of Cairns, 'Port' as it's known by the locals, has two distinct faces: Backpacker and fine diner, yet both exist here in perfect harmony. As home of the organised tour it's the perfect base from which to explore The Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation. All accessible as day trips, it's about 45 minutes from Port to Daintree Village and 1.5 hours in total to Cape Tribulation. Depending on your time constraints, we recommend staying at least one night in those areas to make the most of your time here.
