This collected works include cartoons and observations from one of Australia's leading cartoonists Geoff Augustine as he documents his battle with throat cancer. His cartoons serve as an outlet to his frustrations and optimism. We follow Geoff's journey from diagnoses to remission.

WHY IS HE LAUGHING? as a book became very real after Geoff had lost his voice for six months. His four year old granddaughter started looking for it under the couch cushions. Throwing her little hands up in despair, then laughingly saying,'Sorry Geoff... it's just not there!' the idea hit that being positive and sharing the humour can help those walking the same path, as well as offer an insight in staying positive while overcoming this dreaded illness.
