Eric Clapton has been referred to as one of the most important and influential guitarists of all time. He is a highly respected figure in the pantheon of rock and roll greats, and his long career - with the Yardbirds and Cream, and as a solo artist - has been acknowledged by hundreds of awards and accolades over the years. To mark his illustrious 50-year career, Eric Clapton Treasures celebrates the legendary musician through stunning, rarely published photographs and 20 items of removable facsimile memorabilia, including posters, tickets, flyers and signed photographs. Eric Clapton Treasures gives the reader a front-row seat (and backstage access as well) to the career of the legendary guitarist who is the only person to be inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times. This unique book is a treasure trove of memorabilia and photographs and the ultimate celebration of world's greatest living guitarist.
Chris started out as a reporter on UK music weekly Melody Maker in the mid-1960s. He went on the road with Led Zeppelin, The Who, David Bowie and others during the 1970s. Chris has since worked on a variety of music magazines and has written more than 20 books on rock music. He also contributes to UK newspapers. In 2012 Chris was awarded a Gold Badge of Merit Award for his special contribution to Britain's music industry by the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors in London. Here's what Eric Clapton had to say about that: "Congratulations Chris on your Gold Badge Award and many thanks for all your support over the years."
